Purpose this scketch first aliving VistA for beginers in Linux and Vista. If VistA begin work (e.g. going D ^XUP), You can freely and scrupulous read documentation.

I. General layout Vista





Installation

  1. Download:
    1. VAVistADemoSemiVivA20060926.tgz:  In Internet,  on disk (256M) (next tell only about it)
    or
    2. VistAOfficeEHRSemiVivA_2.3.1.tgz:  In Internet,  On disk (223M)
    Or seek by name in Internet
  2. For first try work as root
  3. Copy VAVistADemoSemiVivA20060926.tgz to /home/vista
  4. Unpack
    tar -xvf VAVistADemoSemiVivA20060926.tgz (or direct unpack from Krusader)
  5. Remove VAVistADemoSemiVivA20060926.tgz
  6. Move directory /home/vista/gtm_V5.2-000 to /usr/local/gtm_V5.2-000
  7. Make symbol link gtm_V5.2-000 to near directory gtm (respect to old deep parameters)
  8. Short directory name to VAVistADemo
  9. cd /home/vista/VAVistADemo
  10. Run ./instal    ast   -d (e.g. ast example of name)
    Set full path in /usr/local/gtm_V5.2-000/gtmprofile:
    gtmgbldir="/home/vista/VAVistADemo/gtm_V5.2-000/ast/g/mumps.gld"
  11. cd /home/vista/VAVistADemo/gtm_V5.2-000/ast/
  12. Download parameters space st1 - shell parameters file
  13. If in Linux not work command gtm do
    ./run
  14. You not have parole, but You on server, and in high rank programmer position. Use this on case error and troubleshoting.
    First log: D P^DI - 200 (user file) - on request name answer ??
    Set names & paroles (Access,Verify code)
  15. Check ^XUP:
       GTM>s DUZ=1
       GTM>d ^XUP
  16. If error1 see Repair Vista
    Else
       Joy VistA
  17. Copy directory /home/vista/VAVistADemo/CPRS
    to Windows client (other machine), make file start.bat with string
    CPRSChart.exe P=IP_VistA_Server S=9300
    In CPRS choose FIFTY,PATIENT most illustrative - and dream about VistA Imaging.
    For viewing laboratory data in CPRS 68 use file Common Files/GMV_VitalsViewEnter.dll near CPRS directory. This file lay in instalation VITL5_P3.exe (by defoult instaled VITL5_P18.EXE)
  18. Try Vitals Sign: VITL5_P18.exe
  19. Try Mental Health Asistant: Setup_MHA_1_0_2_10.exe

Initialize and configure the system

Login to the Linux user account "vista" created during the install process, then at the Linux prompt, Start GT.M

$ gtm

Once in GT.M the prompt will show "GTM>" we are simply showing it as ">"

Execute the Fileman initialization routine:

At the “Initialize VA FileMan now? NO//” prompt, answer "Y"

At the “TYPE OF MUMPS SYSTEM YOU ARE USING: GT.M(UNIX)//” prompt, press return, (the system will then install files and compile forms.)

(Fileman files will be loaded and installed, forms will be compiled)

Which MUMPS system should I install?

1 = VAX DSM(V6), VAX DSM(V7)

2 = MSM-PC/PLUS, MSM for NT or UNIX

3 = OpenM for NT, Cache/NT, Cache/VMS

4 = Datatree, DTM-PC, DT-MAX

5 = MVX,ISM VAX

6 = ISM (UNIX, Open VMS)

7 = GT.M (VMS)

5. System Startup : Server

These procedures will start your Hui OpenVista system after installation, or restart it if it has been stopped by using Section 6. From being logged in as the "vista" user, type is :

$ gtm

System Shutdown : Server

To maintain data integrity use the following steps to shutdown a Hui OpenVista server. Once you have logged into the Linux Server as the "vista" user, Type :

$ gtm

> D STOP^XWBTCP(9300)

> D ^XUP

NOTE: Once the menu shows up, you type these commands in sequence.

7. Client Installation

A. Create a folder for CPRS and Putty :

Create a folder in "Program Files" called "HuiOpenVista4"


B. Download the Client Software :

Connect to the internet and download the following 2 files from the Pacific Telehealth & Technology website. Put them into the "HuiOpenVista4" folder you just created :

CPRSChart.exe

Putty.exe


C. Create Shortcuts to CPRS and Putty :

Create a shortcut to CPRS.

Create a shortcut to CPRSChart.exe.

Right click on the shortcut and click "Properties."

The “Target” line should show the path to the executable, CPRSChart.exe.

Add to the end of the Target : S=192.168.1.68 P=9300

where :

S is the IP address of the Linux server where Hui OpenVista is installed.

P is the port that the RPC broker is listening on.

Create a shortcut to Putty.

Create a shortcut to Putty.exe.

Double click the shortcut and open Putty.

In the settings for "Session" under "Hostname or IP Address"

enter the IP address of the Linux server where Hui OpenVista is installed

In the port settings, the SSH port is 22.

In the section "Saved Sessions" give these settings a name, and click Save.
